Hurray for crochet white and blue

Taking a break from all of the Tunisian crochet to share this star square. The pattern is available from Dayna’s Crochet Free Patterns. Don’t be scared by the weird color choice on the pattern page, this can be made with lots of pretty color combinations. For other color ideas see my Ravelry Project Page.

If you don’t give a hoot about all the flag waving here’s a cute owl, perfect for a keychain.

The pattern is Miss Owl Hoot Hoot available for free on Ravelry. The designer is Marta Chrzanowska.

This is my first time adding a video…. Sousa’s Stars and Stripes Forever March. Skip the first 50 seconds and get right to the performance. If you stick it out to the end you can hear the beautiful obbligato played by 4 piccolos. These ladies rock!

Having a trombone player in our family we love Sousa’s marches!! Those ladies sound like a group of extremely musical birds and the march is played beautifully.
And thanks for posting the little owl 🙂
